What Does Translation Cost?
Standard rates
Translation: €0.10 per word
Large projects (e.g. books): From €0.06 per word
MTPE (post-editing machine translation publishable standard): €0.0 to €0.06 per word. Click here for more information on MTPE rates.
Transcreation: €29 per hour. While I prefer per-word rates for general translation because this gives me the freedom to fine-tune a text, transcreation is more time-intensive and cannot be charged by the word.
For a tailored quote, get in touch by sending me a quick email or using the contact form.
Additional charges
In rare cases, additional fees may apply when a text requires significantly more time to produce a high-quality translation. These will always be agreed in advance. Situations that may incur extra charges include:
Poor-quality scanned images or PDFs
Non-native or poorly written Dutch source text
Highly specialised content requiring extensive research
Texts with heavy use of jargon
Payment
Invoices are usually sent after the project is completed and approved.
For large projects, I may invoice in batches as work is completed.
Standard payment term: 30 days.
Preferred payment methods: bank transfer, PayPal, Wise and Payoneer.
What else do you need to know?
